Levi's and Beyoncé launch new ad


Six months after Beyoncé released her country music album, Cowboy Carter, she joined forces with Levi's to launch a re-interpretation of their classic 1985 laundrette advert.

The original iconic ad, starring model Nick Kamen, featured the classic song' I Heard it Through the Grapevine' by Marvin Gaye. The new advert, which comes almost 40 years later, stars Beyoncé taking on the leading role as she undresses in a laundrette as per the original.

This seemingly unplanned partnership has kicked off a new campaign by TBWA\Chiat\Day called Reiimagine, which, as the name suggests, involves looking to the Levi's brand heritage and transforming it into something new.

While this advert might not be as cutting edge and revolutionary as the original, it does feel like a rare example of an organic partnership given its genesis in music.

The campaign extends to out of home advertising (OOH) and print, created with photographer Mason Poole, as well as brand activations and a line of exclusive products. Further ads, or ‘chapters’, that reimagine memorable Levi’s spots are expected to follow.

Burnley Borough Council have organised another exciting programme of FREE business support with Burnley Business Week 2024. 


As the business world continues to change and present new challenges and opportunities, it is important that businesses with different skillsets support others in their area in generating success. Burnley Council constantly work closely with local partners and this event offers a range of free workshops.

This is a great example of businesses working together to share skills and knowledge, driven and supported by local government, in order to support growth and development. 

Some of the workshops offered included AI for business, branding, short video production and neuro-inclusivity in the workplace.
